what small gift should i buy for nursing home this Christmas?

I might go to Nursing home to distribute some gifts this year, what gift would be the best for me to buy. I can only afford an inexpensive gift, i’m just a student.

    If you can, maybe you can buy them a decorative Christmas oranament or figurine thingy. I saw cheap ones at Target. Really all the elderly want is for someone to spend time with them. It’s really depressing most of those people are just dropped off their never getting a visit, a phone call, nothing. They just vegitate. So I think you talking to them and having a conversation with them would really help them, and it gives them a sense that someone does care.

    You should give them some kind of craft kit or puzzle book if you can. A lot of the people there probably don’t have a lot of visitors, and they would like something to occupy their time. Or, you could just buy a couple board games that the entire home can use when they want to get together and socialize.

    could you perhaps make an album of old advertising posters -print them off the net

    or a memory book of a certain period that reflects their general age group? (teenage years) or (young family time) generally bring out favourable memory’s

    or prehaps your interpretaion of christmas past.
