No matter what college you start at you have to take these “general” courses in order to get to the more advanced level courses. These are called prerequisites and without them you cannot register for a sophomore or junior level classes that you’ll need to take once you have enough credits to register for these classes. I don’t think it’s the college that you’re in that is the problem, I believe you could be bored with the course load because some of the classes have nothing to do with nursing and so you see them as boring or unnecessary.
The only university that I found on U.S. News, which is a website that ranks colleges, was Virginia Commonwealth University. You can look into their nursing program.
