Although it has been several years since i took the NCLEX-RN exam, one thing I found helpful was to find and read a good care plan book. I fyou want to brush up say on the Cardiac system. find nursing diagnoses related to cardiac problems, read the interventions and rationales, then go back to the NCLEX-RN exam study guide and take the test on that section, etc. You mind find this helpful. Also make sure you get a good night’s rest before the test. Do not stay up all night cramming. Just before the test drink some orange juice or eat a cookie, it will give you just the right glucose boost to stay alert.
Good Luck. You may also want to try the Kaplan course review, I didn’t take the course but others I have spoken to said it helped.
