I have a friend who just graduated from nursing and is going to volunteer with a charity for six weeks around South America after her birthday. I want to make her a travel package as a gift. I would like to know what items are suggested and recommended for her volunteer trip. Thanks!

Well, you could include some items that may be useful for whatever she’s volunteering for. Depending on where she’s going and what the conditions are going to be like, some basic things like bug spray or sunblock…you could include some comforts from home like a small jar of peanut butter, her favorite chocolate bar…maybe a phone card to call home with. I’m sure she will appreciate any gesture…I would just make sure whatever you give isn’t too large or heavy because of airline luggage restrictions.
Add in both stuff that she will NEED and WANT. Put sunscreen, bug spray, first aid items, a pocket Bible (if shes religious), her favorite candy bar, a 20 oz. bottle of her favorite soda, a map of the place she’s visiting, a picture of you two, a best friends necklace or bracelet, etc.
