After I got to Algebra in school I decided math wasn’t my strong suit either, but don’t get overly scared about nursing math. They will teach you how to do the dosage calculations during nursing school and you’ll have plenty of opportunity for practice before calculating any sort of dosage on an actual patient.
If you want to get a head start though you could check an online book seller such as Amazon, or your local library for one of the many nursing math or drug calculations for nurses books available. Without recommending any book in particular I will give you a hint that titles run the gamut from “Drug Calculations for Nurses A Step by Step Approach”, to “Dosage Calculations Made Incredibly Easy!”, pocket reference guides, and practice books… there’s quite an assortment to choose from.
Best wishes for your nursing school success!
