What Are The Best Nursing/professional Shoes To Wear?

I’m going to be a dental assistant and even though we’ll be able to sit while assisting, I need excellent shoes. I’ve been looking at a pair of Dansko. If you have worn these, do you like them? Do they run big (they don’t come in half sizes, I wear a 6.5 and I’d get the size 7)? What shoes have been the best for you? Thank you!!

  1. I work in a hospital and I’m on my feet all day, and I can tell you that I swear by wearing Crocs and also KSwiss walking shoes. Saucony walking shoes are my third pair of work shoes too!

  2. crocs.
    seriously theyre comfortable.

  3. The Dansko shoes are pretty, but seem heavy to me. I don’t think with the amount of walking I do during my 12 hour shifts, they would be comfortable. I currently wear Sketchers (white backless), but I also have a pair of Easy Spirit sneakers and they are comfortable. My feet never hurt with my Sketchers and Easy Spirits. Also, I always wear support hose, too.

i suggest you go barefoot. this has many advantages. your feet will be able to breathe more throughout the day, so they will not get as tired. also, you will feel more free and relaxed because your feet are not tied up in tiny prisons all day–this should make you feel more at ease with your patients. hope this helps!

  5. Linkin Park Rule!!

maybe comfy running shoes or something

  6. I LOVE my Crocs!!!
12 hour days on my feet, and I am NEVER sore at all!
