What Are Good Shoes For Nurses?

My mom is a nurse and she wants to know what shoes are good for standing around taking care of babies (she’s a NICU nurse). She’s been having toruble with her ankle because of the shoes she was wearing. Thanks!

  1. I am also a nurse and am on my feet for hours at a time. The only shoe that I will work in is New Balance. Sometimes a little pricey, but, well worth the bucks. If I catch them on sale, I buy 2 pr, 1 for now and 1 for later. Tell her to give them a try.

  2. Need to try the shoes personally with a little broader toe side and very soft bottom sole at least one to one and a half inch thick. Also heel to front sole ratio should be 2:1 or at least 2:1&1/2 particularly if the heels become sore after prolonged standing and or walking. As you know nice comfortable shoes are important for good care of the feet.

  3. get a good pair of sneakers new balances have very good ankle and arch support
but if shes looking more for comfort i heard crocs are very good

  4. i believe birkenstock makes a nurses shoe i have dbl knee replacements i love them.

  5. Tell her to look up Orthotics.
And NOOOOO to crocs. Those things will ruin her feet.

  6. I’m not a nurse, but almost all of them wear crocs.
