Should I Go Into Nursing Because I Like To Travel?

I’m thinking about going into nursing because it will allow me to help people, and I will be able to travel as a travel nurse. I really think it would be great to travel, meet new people, and see the sights, but I’m not sure if this is what traveling nurse life is really like. So, I’m not sure if this is really the right way to go. I have no experience in helping others (medicaly), but I do know that some things don’t gross me out too much. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Taking The Nclex-rn In 2 Weeks And I Was Wondering How I Should Feel?

I am taking the NCLEX-RN in 2 weeks. I have taken the Kaplan 4 week review and study course and dont practice tests online. Every time i take a practice test i barely pass or barely fail… like on the boarder. I am afraid this means i will fail the real exam. Anyone out there with help on this who has taken it within the last month or few months? should i be nervous?

What Kind Of Nurse Should I Be?

I applied to my university as a nursing major with a BS and plan on being a RN. I don’t really like to work in a fast paced/gorey, environment. My idea of nursing is working at some sort of health center, taking care of people with colds/flu/etc, taking their blood pressure, calm environment.

I Did Not Pass My Nclex-rn On First Attempt. Any Suggestions For How I Should Study Differently?

or for what helped each of you the most?

Should I Take The Nclex-pn??

I graduated from an ADN prog 3 years ago, but was unsuccessful with the NCLEX -RN twice. I took the rest of the time to just work. Now I am tired of being a CNA and want to get my license. The problem is that I know that I am not ready for the RN boards. I would rather audit some classes before I dive back in to that text. Someone recommended I try the LPN boards. Would it be worth it to try that first?

What Type Of Work Should I Start Out With?

I graduated a couple of months ago, and recently acquired my state license to practice as an LPN. I do plan to go back to school to finish my bachelor’s and take the NCLEX-RN eventually. (Hopefully registering for night classes again this fall).
I’m especially interested in working in an Oncology department at a hospital or an ICU unit in the future, but I realize much experience, and my RN license, is needed.
Therefore, where should I start? I would love to start working, so I’ll take just about anything at first, but I’d like to get my foot in the door at a local hospital as an LPN for the experience, and to learn in any unit, but I never see ads for hiring. How do I go about getting my resume out there?
Hopefully there are some experienced nurses browsing here that might give a new, wet-behind-the-ears nurse some sound advice. =)

Should I Contest A ‘not Accepted’ For A Lpn Certification School, If So, How Should I Go About It?

Before applying to a LPN school (not a College) I took my NET test passed and then had to go thru a interview with the ‘Dean’ which it went very well. The next day I called the school and they said I was not accepted, I asked the reason why and they did not give me a reason. Should I contest this? It has been my dream becoming a nurse for the long time. I need some suggestions…

I Graduated From Lpn School 17 Years Ago. I’m Thinking Of Taking The Exam. Should I Go Back To School?

Since things have changed since I graduated from LPN school (I didn’t pass the boards, took it 3 times and got close to passing), I was wondering do I take a refresher course or do the school thing all over again?
