How Do You Get That Hospital Smell Out Of Your Scrubs?

I am doing clinicals right now and I only have two pairs of scrubs, and four clinical days per week. But I cannot get the smell out. It isn’t foul, it is just uncomfortable because I notice it when I get home. It just smells like hospital. I’ve been told to wash them in vinegar…I tried that when I worked at a resturant and my clothes smelled like grease, after I washed them, it smelled like grease and vinegar…not a good combination. By the way it isn’t just me, my classmates have also encountered the same problem. Please help

Why Do Non Medical People Have To Wear Scrubs Or Lab Coats While Working Especially In The Hospital Setting?

The reason why I’m asking this here is because I feel it is terrible for them to wear them even if they are in their own scrubs and have to change into hospital ones in able to go into the operating room or pacu or operating hallway. Even husbands or partners have to wear hospital issue scrubs, well whatever they are called, in the or, pacu, hallway when their wives or partners have c-sections. Leave them on till their goes to the postpartum room after that. I’m well aware of the germs or spead of infection, something like that.
Think thats it for now.

Why Do Nurses Wear Their Scrubs In Public?

I am in college studying a health science and wonder why these people walk around on campus all the time in their uniform. These are the same clothes they are around sick and/or dead, the elderly and the injured. Sure enough, I see these people around the produce at the market, in line at the bank and chilling over the buffet salad bar on their lunch break. You never see doctors wearing their coats while walking their dogs. You don’t see EMTs doing this either…unless they are actually in those places pushing someone into an ambulance. The weirdest part is I see no shortage of these people while there might be 2 hospitals in a 30 mile radius. Is it just a status thing to them?
Just a legit question about people who might be spreading germs and disease in the clothes they are so proud of.

Female Healthcare Professionals.. .should I Buy Drawstring Or Elastic Band Nursing Scrubs?

I am going to be starting nursing school in the fall and I will have to buy scrub sets to wear during my clinical rotations. I’m just wondering what other females think is a better option for scrub pants, those with a drawstring or those with an elastic band. I know scrubs can sometimes make girls look really hippy, and I’m fairly skinny so I think this could happen. I know I’ll have to go to life uniform and see what I think for myself before I order, but I’m just interested in what other ladies think.
