Good Tennis Shoes For A Nurse?

My husband will not pick any out but his old shoes are falling apart. I want to buy him a new pair for his birthday but not sure what kind to get. He works 16 hour shifts alot so needs something comfortable. He has mentioned Nike Shox but I don’t know how they would be? He also normally needs a wide in shoes, which is usually harder to find as well. I’d appreciate any advice or recommendations.

I Have Been A Cna And Now I Want To Be A Nurse, But I Am 29 And I Have 4 Young Kids, Is That Possible?

I have been a cna(nurses assistant)for over 2 years. I realize now that there are no old cna’s. It is not a job you can plan on retiring from. It is very physical and requires a lot of strength. I want to go to ivy tech for an lpn licnese becuase I am pretty sure I could qualify for a gov loan that I wouldnt even have to pay back as long as I graduate. But that is a lot to juggle. I have to work and go to school around my finacees work schedual becuase we have no child care and dont qualify for childcare help. So I could only go part time. It might take me 4 years where as it normally only takes 2 years. Is it rediculous for me to even try givin my age and situation?

How Can You Tell The Difference Between A Nurse, Physician, And Other Medical People Based On Their Uniforms?

It seems harder these days. I’m guessing that nurses wear non-green scrubs and physicians wear green scrubs.

How Is It As An Rn For Visiting Nurse Services (vns)? Pros And Cons.?

I am a new grad and currently working as a staff nurse on a very specialized med/surg unit. the nurse/patient ration 1:8. It is hectic, almost all the nurses on this unit are planning to leave. there is new management (primary reason for everyone leaving) and their particular style is detrimental to staff morale (which was very high prior to the change). I love nursing however i do not feel that i am offering the CARE on a med/surg unit. there is not enough time to spend with each patient because im constantly picking up new orders for each patient allllll day. i feel like a racehorse at the end of the day. i feel with VNS i will be able to spend quality time with my patients and provide teaching that they may need. please tell me your experiences good and bad. thank you

Nhs Nurse Uniforms Within The Hospital?

I have been doing a work placement in an NHS hospital and i was just wondering what all the different colour uniforms indicate. If anyone knows what the colours mean or anyone have a website to lead me to it would be most appreciated.
I have found that dark blue with white spots is a matron, navy blue is a sister or ward manager, lighter blue is a staff nurse and a pale blue is a clinical support nurse but that’s all i know. i have seen nurses wearing grey scrubs and pink scrubs and im really wondering what they all mean
