That doesn&#039;t take any special training...However, you can specialize and become a neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP), which is a higher degree than a regular RN. I would suggest job shadowing someone who works in the NICU before making this decision, especially because you say it would be &quot;fun&quot;. This is a very high stress job and the babies are not cute and cuddly they are very critically ill. I thought this was the job path I wanted to follow but after shadowing someone and volunteering at a hospital in the nursery I found out that it is actually VERY boring. But hey, it might be exactly what you are looking for...but I would definitely suggest checking it out.</description>
