I am going to be starting nursing school in the fall and I will have to buy scrub sets to wear during my clinical rotations. I’m just wondering what other females think is a better option for scrub pants, those with a drawstring or those with an elastic band. I know scrubs can sometimes make girls look really hippy, and I’m fairly skinny so I think this could happen. I know I’ll have to go to life uniform and see what I think for myself before I order, but I’m just interested in what other ladies think.

check out the thrift shops in the area, consignment shops, and sewing your own is low cost…
they can be high priced to start out…I preferred the elastic because the string always gets weird and when in a hurry the string was not a good idea…
im currently doing community service in the hospital. so we have to wear scrubs. i prefer the elastic bands. so you dont have to keep tieing them.
TRY THEM ON!!! I can’t say it enough! Everyone’s body is different. I noticed most liked elastic but I prefer drawstring. I have a rearend and hips and the elastics tend to pull down in the back.
Go to a store and try some different types of pants on. Make sure you bend down, and over making sure that your butt doesn’t hang out. I know that sounds funny but it happens.
I prefer the elastic band (that way you dont have to keep tieing it if it comes untied)
