Well congratulations on finishing nursing school! To find out about taking the licensing examination, perhaps you can contact the nclex board themselves. Someone from that organization should be able to tell you the requirements for the state in which you reside. And as for studying for the nclex-pn, your local bookstore or library may have a study manual to help prepare you. It, however, doesn’t guarantee the desired score on the test, but it can certainly give you an idea of the types of questions found on the exam. Perhaps you can study with another classmate from your school. Wishing you all the best!

How hard is the NCLEX-pn? How can you prepare to take it.?

Can be hard or can be easy, it depends on you. If you are prepare enough to take the exam… go ahead!! What is NCLEX-PN anyway…. stands for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical/Vocational Nurses. It is a computerized test developed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. The test is used to regulate the licensing of practical and vocational nursing in each of its member states. Member include representatives from all 50 United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Virgin Island and Mariana Islands.
What is the style of questions asked on the NCLEX-PN? It is composed primarily of multiple-choice questions. And it is an adaptive computerized test. The Computer creates a unique test for each candidate. The test is made up of a comparatively small number of items from among the vast quantity stored in the memory of the computerized test pool.
Since each test is tailor-made for the candidate, there is no minimum amount of time for the test. The maximum length of time allowed for the NCLEX-PN is 5 hours, however, most candidates finish much sooner. The examination time varies depending on how speedily the candidate reads and answers each test item and how well or poorly the questions are answered. The test is terminated when the computer has sufficient data to determine with 95% confidence whether the candidate has demonstrated sufficient knowledge to pass the examination. The test ends aurtomatically when the candidate: answers at least a minimum number of 85 questions correctly, answers 85 to 205 questions at or below the passing standard, answers 205 questions without enough certainty to determine a passing or failing score or is still testing when the 5 hour time limit expires…
I hope this can be a big help for all PN who will take the NCLEX. But definitely seek help from ABOVE… God Bless

What does 205 questions on the NCLEX-PN test mean!?

Means that you were borderline and for that reason you took 205 questions. If the last question you answer right most likely you pass. If you answer it wrong most likely you wont. I heard that from a kaplan klass I took.
