If you work for the national health, I don’t think it pays that well.

Associates in RN first at a community college or just go to a four year university and get my BSN?

i want to be an Rn but i know that it takes about 3 years to complete an associates in nursing and just one more year to complete your BSN, so in my mind i rather just go for my BSN and just do one more year and get more employment availabilities, but i mean which way is smarter, a BSN first or a RN to BSN? by the way is their salary a big difference? i heard a RN with an associates get paid the same amount as a RN with a BSN.

If you can, go for the BSN because you can prepare to get into one of the specialties such as Nurse-Anesthetist or Nurse-Radiologist.

On the other hand, the faculty and administration of our Nursing school just love the RNs in the RN to BSN program. Nothing like practical experience in the trenches to add value to your credentials for the BSN program.

You really can’t go wrong either way – your call.
