How does an Army ROTC 4-year nursing scholarship work?

Do I serve the army while I go to college? Do I finish college, then serve the army?

I read this part and it scared the hell out of me;
OUR COMMITMENT

* An eight-year service commitment with the Army. <----What the hell? Do I finish college then serve 8 years in the army? * Serve full time in the Army for four years and four years with the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR). * Selected Cadets may choose to serve part time in the Army Reserve or Army National Guard while pursuing a civilian career Best answer:

Gee, you want them to pay for your nursing school but have a hard time meeting their requirements?

Some bases have colleges on them. If that is the case, yes you will be serving as you are learning.

If the army is going to pay for your schooling before you actually serve, then you must meet their demands for 8 years.

Be darn lucky they are willing to take you on!
